Noerr secures five-strong team from PwC

Venturis Consulting Group advised European Top 10 firm Noerr on the strategic hiring of the PwC Legal team in Prague after it had undertaken a strategic review of Noerr’s Prague office and the growth potential of several key practices in the Czech Republic and the CEE region. The process started in June last year with:
1) an evaluation of the Czech market;
2) an analysis of the required capabilities and synergy opportunies; and,
3) an in-depth due diligence addressing people, business, client and practice requirements.

Venturis is currently working on the integration planning, focusing on client targeting, practice integration and achieving synergies together with Noerr CEE leadership.

Noerr recently secured a strong team of fee-earners in Prague

Bořivoj Líbal, who led PwC Legal’s Prague office for over three years, will lead Noerr’s Czech Republic office alongside current managing partner Barbara Kusak.

Kusak, who has spent her entire career at the German firm, also heads the office’s transaction advisory practice in the Central Eastern Europe region.

Líbal will bring under his wing senior associates Petr Kobylka and Michal Jekielek and associates Ondřej Řitička and Marek Poloni. The team previously advised on cross-border and local transactions, with a focus on areas such as real estate, IT, regulation and data protection.

“Bořivoj Líbal and his team will strengthen Noerr’s service offering for both our national and international clients in the Czech Republic and will significantly reinforce our local presence,” Jörg Menzer, regional managing partner of Noerr’s outposts in Bratislava, Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw and Prague, said in a statement.

Barbara Kusak commented: “Making this move is a clear demonstration of our commitment to our Prague office and evidence of Noerr being a regional force in CEE.”
