Gerard is a Consultant at Venturis Consulting Group. He specializes in LegalTech and digitization at inhouse legal teams, public service organisations and law firms. Gerard is passionate about helping clients identify opportunities where technology can have a sustained positive impact on them and their clients’ business. Over the past 25 years, he has worked extensively with corporates, government teams and law firms in Australia, Asia and Europe.

Profile & Professional background

Gerard consults to inhouse legal teams and law firms on technology and digitization strategy, competition and market assessment, technology and vendor selection and management, implementation, legal operations, communications and coaching. He has extensive experience at Board, executive and line management level both at law firms and within legal teams in industry and professional services.

Gerard grew up in Switzerland, worked in IT, treasury and finance before moving to Australia where he has worked for more than 20 years. After consulting work at PwC, he joined the executive ranks at regional and global firms Ashurst, King & Wood Mallesons, Norton Rose Fulbright and Allens (part of the Linklaters Alliance). He has also been the co-founder of two successful LegalTech start-ups and has consulted with over 30 inhouse legal teams throughout Asia Pacific and Europe.

Since returning to Switzerland in 2016, he works part-time at the Executive School of the University of St.Gallen and continues legal consultancies throughout Europe.

Education & Memberships

Gerard holds an MBA and IT degree from the University of St.Gallen. He also conducts LegalTech training and education through his ongoing involvement with the Executive School at the University of St.Gallen.
