On Thursday 27 June 2019 Venturis Consulting Group organized an interesting client seminar on main trends in the Dutch legal market and on how to develop a successful strategy:
1) The Dutch Elite (De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, Houthoff, Loyens & Loeff, NautaDutilh and Stibbe) dominates, but is it sustainable?
2) A clear group of “Challengers” (i.e., AKD, BarentsKrans, Lexence, Dirkzwager and Van Benthem & Keulen) with a clear strategic focus and with strong, consistent – and profitable – revenue growth over the last 3 years;
3) Dutch offices belonging to international business law firms (IBLs) firms display a growing market share; and
4) an increasing number of “typical” mid mid-market firms, and regional firms, that seem to stagnate
