Our discussions with law firms over the last few weeks have shown that partners and matter managers face particular challenges when managing and communicating with virtual teams. Some firms lack appropriate tools; in other situations, partners and managers of legal projects are less familiar with available methods and best practices.
This can lead to misunderstandings and nervousness in their teams and the quality and efficiency of the work may suffer. A study carried out by INSEAD in early 2020 confirms these findings and shows that the challenges of working in an “home-office environment” are not so much related to information technology, but rather managerial and organizational in nature.
At Venturis, we believe that the topic of home-office work will not go away any time soon. Irrespective of how the Corona pandemic will evolve, employees and fee earners will expect their firms to facilitate an effective home-office working environment. What have we learned from the huge experiment with home-office work that law firms are undertaking right now? How can we further improve, optimise and how can we better prepare and facilitate?
With this virtual brown bag lunch we want to share best practices, show possible solutions and invite you to exchange experiences.
