In a recent article for the Dutch Financial Times, Amsterdam-based partner Gerard Tanja commented on the recent development and main trends in the Dutch legal market. After the, excellent, Covid years, Dutch law firms will need to refocus and concentrate on the post-Covid realities of increased competition, consolidation and the growing market share of international firms. He also pointed at the increasing “gap” between the Amsterdam region and the rest of the Netherlands in terms of growth of the legal sector, performance of Amsterdam-based firms and employment market attractiveness.
